Alea Iacta Est And The Cantina Band Podcast Guilds Align

If you listened to Episode 0 of The Cantina Band you may remember us talking with Scott Johnson and the idea of allying/adversary our guilds was touched upon...

It is with great pleasure I announce today we have formalized our relationship with AIE (Alea Iacta Est.) as allies AND adversaries in the upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Bioware has moved their pre-launch guild program in too Phase 2 now. During Phase 2 of this program guilds can choose up to a total of 3 other guilds to “ally” or “adversary” with. This is simply a mechanic to tell Bioware we wish to be on the same server. We will still retain our individual and unique cultures while creating the unique opportunity to share our game experience with other like-minded folks outside our normal sphere of influence.

I had the opportunity to meet with AIE’s “Dark Council” and we agreed that bringing together our large communities that share the same principles of respect and love for the game is a great opportunity to assist in the creation of a server population dipped in awesome. The potential for shared community events of all varieties (PvE, PvP, and RP) with their guilds is great.

We look forward to seeing our newly aligned friends and foes alike on a server this December.
